In the Light: The Slow Burn of Becoming | March 27, 2026
Happy Friday All!
As we come to the close of this week, I find myself sitting in a quieter awareness, not of what still needs to be done, but of what has already begun.
We started this week with a simple, grounded truth: One Chop at a Time—a return to steady effort, to presence, to trusting the next right step. From there, we moved into reflection—The Hats We Wear, the roles we inherit, and the quiet evolution of the women we are becoming.
And now… here we are. Not at the finish line, not with everything complete, but somewhere far more meaningful, in the middle of it. Because becoming is not a moment; it is a slow burn.
Not the kind of fire that rushes in and demands attention, but the one that stays… the one that warms, steadies, and transforms quietly over time. Like a comfortable seat in front of a warm fire on a cold evening, or the familiar pull of a backyard bonfire, where you find yourself gazing into the crackles and the wiry designs of the ashes as they rise into the sky, searching for their place in the light.
This week may not have looked extraordinary from the outside, but the internal shifting—the emergence of memories long gone yet deeply embedded in who we are, was impactful, emotional, and incredibly grounding. It can feel like coming to the end of a rollercoaster ride, realizing, “Okay, I am safe now. All is well.” Even if you left a little piece of your stomach at the top of that peak, the rush of the descent, the moments of uncertainty, even the screams along the way… they are all part of the ride. The ebbs and flows, the hills and valleys—we move through them again and again, in rhythm, until we don’t.
The life you are building is not shaped in one grand moment; it is shaped here, in the quiet decisions, in the steady steps, in the willingness to trust what you cannot yet see, and perhaps most importantly, in the way you are learning to hold yourself through it.
So today, I invite you to take a breath and acknowledge what is already unfolding within you—not what is missing, not what is next, but what is.
The fire is still there, but now it is steadier, grounded, sustaining. The hats you are beginning to wear are fitting in new ways. The roles are no longer something you are stepping into… they are becoming something you are growing into.
And the rhythm remains: one step at a time, one becoming at a time… one chop at a time.
You are not rushing this life. You are building it. And it is unfolding… right on time.
With love, and in the quiet light of your becoming…
Christine 🌸
