There are moments in life when you realize you are not just stepping into something new…you are standing at the end of something that quietly, profoundly changed you.
THIS is one of those moments for me…right now.
As I sit with this Monday letter, I feel called to begin something a little different—a gentle unfolding of the journey that has brought me here. Not just to this moment, but to what I now know as The New Bloom Center. And like all things that are truly rooted in truth, this did not begin today. It began in what once felt like…an ending.
In January 2024, I closed the doors to the original Bloom Center, nestled so beautifully along the Farmington River in Farmington, CT. At the time, it would have been easy to name it as loss. And in many ways, it was. There were layers—personal, professional, emotional—interwoven in that closing. Shifts in work, shifts in identity, and shifts in what I thought I knew about where I was going.
But what I have come to understand—and what I have been living, writing, and sharing with you over these past months—is that what we often call loss is very rarely an ending.
It is alignment in motion.
It is life gently, and sometimes not so gently, redirecting us toward what is more true, more sustainable, more us. And while the human part of me felt the weight of that season—the uncertainty, the unraveling, the quiet questions of “what now?”…there was something deeper that never wavered.
A knowing.
A steady whisper that said: this is not the end of Bloom…this is the becoming of it.
And perhaps even more than that…there was something that stayed.
A quiet goodness. A presence. A connection that did not leave, even in the moments that felt the most uncertain. It did not rush, it did not demand to be understood…it simply remained. And I have come to trust that more than anything that comes and goes.
Over these past many months, I have allowed myself to walk that path without rushing to define it. There were moments where many things fell away—roles, structures, expectations—and yes, even parts of my professional identity that I once held tightly. So very tightly. Those roles that “identify us.”
And yet, with each release, there was also a return.
A returning to my center.
A returning to my “I AM.”
A returning to the why that was never tied to a building, but to a feeling, a mission, a way of being in the world.
This journey has not been about rebuilding what was.
It has been about realigning with what is meant to be. And that is a very different kind of creation.
It requires trust over control. Discernment over urgency. And perhaps most importantly, the willingness to walk through seasons where nothing looks certain on the outside…while everything is quietly coming into place within.
Even in the quiet.
Especially in the quiet.
If you have been here with me—reading these Monday letters, reflecting on Wednesdays, stepping into the light on Fridays—then you have been walking this journey alongside me. You have witnessed the thresholds, the pauses, the questions, the clarity as it arrived not all at once, but in pieces…in breaths…in moments of deep, grounded truth.
And now, as I stand here today, I can feel it.
Not a finish line…but a threshold.
The kind that doesn’t ask you to look back with regret, but to look forward with reverence for everything that brought you here.
This is Part One of that story.
The Journey to the New Bloom.
And if there is anything I would gently offer you as you read this, it is this…
What you may be calling loss in your life right now…may in fact be alignment finding you.
Not taking from you—but guiding you.
Not ending you—but refining you.
Not leaving you—but quietly showing you what was never meant to.
And perhaps, just perhaps…leading you exactly where you are meant to bloom next. 🌸
